Perfectionism was not just one of the remarkable dinner table topics during our trip. It somewhat reflects my almost two years journey of challenging myself to become a video creator. Coming to the point of sharing this short film with you, there were countless moments when I frustratingly deleted all okayish footage because they just don’t look like how I imagined them to be. On my hard drive, there are various edited videos that I was not confident enough to share with anyone because they don’t look as professional or perfect as the cinematic masterpieces on the internet. I doubted whether this videography thingi is ever going to happen to me, until this moment…

Did I get past perfectionism? Not even close. But I suppose the only way to get closer to what you ambitioned is to fight this critical self-evaluation and keep on doing what you know that you can pull off. No matter … you just gotta do it. Enjoy the “terrifying” process of pointing at something and saying “I DID THAT” although they are NOT PERFECT.
